About The True Lyrics Project
The art of writing words to roll along with a sound track of some type is one of the many elements of crafting music being cluttered up with far too much promotion of the brand…rather than the carefully selected collection of words acting as stand-alone articulations of a thought and/or concept.
I have long believed that the multiple components of music are collectively, and as individual elements, a vital component to our ability to reflect upon our own inner thoughts and feelings without anyone standing over your shoulder demanding an immediate and intimate stream of consciousness report on the effects of absorbing the materials.
Although there remains great divides amongst artists, the consumer and the deliverers/providers of the art of sound, words without sound can take on entirely different meanings…just as the beat of a song can mute out the lyrical content for some/many.
WordPress has been consistent in delivering a relatively ad-free venue for account holders to grow their ideas, which is one of a few absolute musts I look for in free services. I don’t want my content to become too attractive for a variety of click schemes, which is why it became attractive for me to begin the Exoteric True Lyrics Project here.
Free from excessive visual clutter, here is your chance to really look through lyrics as a stand-alone art form…no sounds…no influence…nothing but your own imagination. Do the words fit your current circumstances? Will you discover you have been singing the wrong words to a song for years or will you decide to dedicate the song to someone?
From time to time, a set of lyrics has been recorded by multiple artists. Perhaps a change in artist would help you better connect to a set of words that can hold meaning for you…if it was just a little faster…or slower…or maybe even accoustic.
This project is about attracting the visitor to the potential for connecting to music in ways that are quickly becoming forgotten through apathy(?) or just a circumstance in which now that our lives are so media-saturated, the words tend to mean very little…unless they are attached to a commercial, as an example.
I have done my best to use reliable sources for my content and have relied on an original album and/or CD as the source when available.
Happy exploring!
